In order to keep updated on PEP events and make sure to receive our newsletters and calls for proposals.

As a member of the PEP Network, you join the ranks of more than 7,000 policy makers, researchers, civil society representatives and other individuals interested in reducing poverty worldwide, who resort to the networking experience of the PEP website.

Our website, which has registered over 250,000 visits to date, now features powerful search engines allowing users to seek information on all 7000 PEP members by country, field of specialization, name, etc.

In order to keep updated on PEP events and make sure to receive our newsletters and calls for proposals, we kindly ask that you keep your personal information updated on the website, choosing what elements of your profile (photo, bio, CV, contact details, fields of specialization, etc.) you wish to make accessible to the public.

HOW do I register?

Simply click on REGISTER at the right top corner of the home page, fill in the required information and click submit.

Can I register again if I forgot my username or password?

NO! Do not register again.

It is really important that you only have ONE account. Since our website, which has registered over 250,000 visits to date, now features powerful search engines allowing users to seek information on all 7000 PEP members by country, field of specialization, name, etc. 

Having more than one account would would make it difficult for users to find the right information about you.

It is also important that your personal information be kept up to date, in order to keep updated on PEP events and make sure to receive our newsletters and calls for proposals.

I did register, but I still have not received my username and password, What can I do?

It can take up to 48 hours to receive your username and password. Most of the time, this situation is caused by the fact that an account already exist under your name (or a similar name). You can write to us at pep@ecn.ulaval.ca if in doubt.

What do I do if I FORGOT MY PASSWORD or if my password is refused?

Do NOT register again!

In the top Right-hand side menu, click on Forgot your password or username?
You will then receive an automatic message including your username and password.

If you still have difficulty, contact us at: pep@ecn.ulaval.ca giving us your complete name.

Can I CHANGE my PASSWORD or username?

  • You can change your password by clicking on"Profile" after you have logged in. Click on "Change" beside your password and select a new password.
  • You cannot however change your username --  sorry!

My EMAIL ADDRESS has CHANGED or I no longer have access to the email address I used to register. How can I get my PASSWORD and username?

Please simply write to us at pep@ecn.ulaval.ca

Please make sure to give us as much information as possible : former email addresses, former organization and position, telephone number... Anything that can help us locate and update your former account. We will then send your username and password to your new email address.

HOW do I submit a proposal?

ALL proposals MUST be submitted through our Website.

  • IMPORTANT:
    The leader and all members of the project must first have registered before submitting a new proposal. To register, select "REGISTER" at the top of the right-hand side menu of the PEP Website. You will then receive your unique username and password. This MUST only be done ONCE per person.

  • Follow the instructions to complete the subscription. ALL members of the project must also upload their CV.

  • First make sure that you have a Word version of the document ready

  • Click on "Login" at the top of the right-hand side menu of the PEP Website using your username and password

  • Select "Submit new proposal" from the left hand side menu

  • Follow the instructions to complete the submission: Make sure to add all team members as this is an important part for the selection of proposals.

  • If you encounter any problem, please write to us at pep@ecn.ulaval.ca and give us as much information as possible (the page you were at, the error message you got if any...) so that we can solve the problem for you.

How can I UPDATE A PROPOSAL or add a new document to my project?

Only leaders can post documents in their project or proposal

  • First make sure that you have a Word version of the document ready;
  • Click on "Login" at the top of the right-hand side menu of the PEP Website;
  • Select "My Projects";
  • Click on the "pencil icon"  beside the name of the project;
  • In the section Reports, click on : Upload new proposal Report;
  • Complete the form that appears on the next page, Browse your computer to select the file and click on the button: Submit
  • In the case of revised documents, the former version of the document also remains in the project. We suggest you use the same name with the mention "revised" with the date (document_name_revised_date)

WHO can post a proposal?

The team leader only.

What do I do if I am UNABLE TO SUBMIT a proposal despite my best efforts?

  • Please first send an Email to pep@ecn.ulaval.ca describing the difficulties you encountered with the Website. If you got an error message please also include it in you message and describe what happens. We are usually able to solve that kind of problems rapidly. If not we will ask you to:
    • Send the proposal to pep@ecn.ulaval.ca, indicating:
      • the relevant program (PMMA, MPIA, PEP-OPHI, PIERI...)
      • the name of the team leader
    • Include the CV and email addresses of each member of the team and make sure they are all registered on PEP Website
    • Your documents (proposal, CV, etc.) should be in Word (.doc) format.

Could you accept a PROPOSALl sent VIA EMAIL?

ALL proposals MUST be submitted through our Website. Proposals sent via email will only be considered if we speciffically requested that you sent it this way, and after all other possibilities have failed.

  • IMPORTANT:
    The leader and all members of the project must first have registered before submitting a new proposal. To register, select "REGISTER" at the top of the right-hand side menu of the PEP Website. You will then receive your unique username and password. This MUST only be done ONCE per person.

  • Follow the instructions to complete the subscription. ALL members of the project must also upload their CV.

If you encountered difficulties, please first send an Email to pep@ecn.ulaval.ca describing the difficulties you encountered with the Website. If you got an error message please also include it in you message and describe what happens. We are usually able to solve that kind of problems rapidly. If not we will ask you to:

  • Send the proposal to pep@ecn.ulaval.ca, indicating:
    • the relevant program (PMMA, MPIA, PEP-OPHI, PIERI...)
    • the name of the team leader

Can I still submit my proposal even if the DEADLINE is passed?

You are free to submit proposals at any time. However, if the deadline is passed, your proposal will only be evaluated with other proposals from our next call for proposals.

How can I post or update my CV?

  • First make sure that you have a Word version of your CV ready;
  • Click on "Login" at the top of the right-hand side menu of the PEP Website;
  • Select "My Profile";
  • At the bottom of this page, beside the UPLOAD CV dialog box, Browse your computer to select the file and click on the button: Submit
  • Proceed exaclty the same way to update your CV as the new document will replace the older version.

How do I update the information in my PROFILE?

In order to keep updated on PEP events and make sure to receive our newsletters and calls for proposals, we kindly ask that you keep your personal information updated on the website, choosing what elements of your profile (photo, bio, CV, contact details, fields of specialization, etc.) you wish to make accessible to the public.

To do so, please follow these simple steps:

  • Open a session (www.pep-net.org): Login with your username and password
  • Profile
  • Update your information (bio, photo, contact details, fields of specialization, CV, etc) 
  • Check the PUBLIC boxes :
    • Check if you want your CV, full contact details (address and phone number) and your short biography to be available on the PEP Web site. You may also indicate the e-mail addresses at which you would like to receive PEP announcements and PEP-TALK;
  • Submit
  • NOTE: Proceed exaclty the same way to update your CV or photo as the new file will replace the older version.

  • Complete the form that appears on the next page, Browse your computer to select the file and click on the button: Submit
  • In the case of revised documents, the former version of the document also remains in the project. We suggest you use the same name with the mention "revised" with the date (document_name_revised_date)
  • Please also make sure that your document shows the date it was completed

How do I DOWNLOAD and save a DOCUMENT onto my computer?

  • Click on the download icon  
  • Choose "save the document as" to save it to your computer or
  • "open the document" to view it through your Browser

In which FILE FORMAT should I post my proposal?

The document should be in WORD (.doc)
NOT in Rich Text Format (.rtf)

Also, please avoid using spaces or this symbol "-" in file names. 
It is better to use "_".

How do I post a REVISED PROPOSAL OR REPORT?

  • Only leaders can post documents in their project or proposal
  • Make sure that you have a Word version of the document ready;
  • In the case of revised documents, simply use the same name with the mention "revised" with the date (document_name_revised_date) and post your revised proposal in the same projects as the first one.
  • Click on "Login" at the top of the right-hand side menu of the PEP Website;
  • Select "My Projects";
  • Click on the "pencil icon"  beside the name of the project;
  • In the section Reports, click on : Upload new proposal Report;(or the appropriate type of document)
  • Complete the form that appears on the next page, Browse your computer to select the file and click on the button: Submit

How do I ADD other TEAM MEMBERS to my project?

Only leaders can modify the composition of their team. (If you wish to change the composition once your project has been accepted, you MUST obtain prior consent from PEP Administrators)

  • Click on "Login" at the top of the right-hand side menu of the PEP Website;
  • Select "My Projects";
  • Click on the "pencil icon"  beside the name of the project;
  • In the Information section, click on : Edit members;
  • Use the arrows between the double dialog boxes to select your team members.
  • Click on the button: Submit
  • NOTE: By default, only individuals from your country are available in the dialog box. If necessary, click on "Click here for worldwide members" to obtain a complete list.

How can I ACCESS a DOCUMENT posted in my project?

To consult comments or recommendations posted on your reports

  • Click on "Login" at the top of the right-hand side menu of the PEP Website and login with your username and password as usual.
  • Select "My Projects" on the left hand side menu.;
  • Click on the "pencil icon"  beside the name of the project; you will acess the list of reports
  • Then click on the "pencil icon"  beside the name of the report that has the comment or recommendation
  • Then click on the disk icon beside the document in the Recommendation section. You will then have the choice to save it or open it.

How to POST A REPORT on PEP Intranet?

Only leaders can post documents in their project or proposal

  • First make sure that you have a Word version of the document ready;
  • Open a session on PEP Website (Click on "Login" at the top of the right-hand side menu;
  • Select "My Projects"to access your projects
  • Click on the "pencil icon"  beside the name of the relevant project;
  • In the Document section (Documents tab), click on : Upload new Report in the relevant section (proposal, interim report, final report...);
  • Complete the form that appears on the next page, Browse your computer to select the file and click on the button: Submit
  • In the case of revised documents, the former version of the document also remains in the project. Simply use the same name with the mention "revised" with the date (document_name_revised_date)
